Humble Beginnings
Therapy Shoppe® was created by a pediatric occupational therapist and her husband; “born” in 1994 in the basement of their first home in Grand Rapids, Michigan! 31 years and 2 moves later, we’re delighted to still be on a worldwide journey supporting families, therapists, teachers, students, and other individuals of all abilities who have unique needs and challenges.
Hopes and Dreams
We were blessed with an extraordinary daughter who has extreme sensory differences and other unique challenges; a gentle soul who’s taught us more than we could have ever imagined. We know firsthand about sensory meltdowns; being in survival mode; working tirelessly to advocate for and meet our child’s unique needs; and especially about having a village to help provide support along the way. We understand and want to help.

Still Doing What We Do Best
Today we’re still blazing the trail doing what we do best: providing innovative solutions, quality products at affordable prices, phenomenal service, and fast shipping. While our staff and building size have grown a bit during the past 3 decades, we’re still that same small, family-run, friendly company who answers our own phones, recycles shipping boxes, personally replies to emails, and goes the extra mile to provide phenomenal service.
